The Roseraie du Mal-de-Varne – or Roseraie de L’Häy – claims to be the world’s fist rosary where roses are the only flowering plants. Located 8 km (5 miles) south of Paris, it boasts a total of 13,100 rose bushes and claims to contain 3200 different species and varieties.
It’s steel dome covered in pink roses, central reflecting pool and paved paths give the Roseraie de L’Häy a fairy-tale ambiance, as if one were walking through the gardens of old fictitious characters.
Designed by architect Édourad François André and rosarian Jules Gravereaux, the Roseraie de L’Häy offers a great stroll for flower-connoisseurs and regular tourists alike, with modern, foreign and classic roses decorating your path every step of the way.
